Rio Tinto announced its third quarter results according to which production decreased at its Argyle mine but increased at its Diavik mine.

Total production reached 6.77 million carats in this year`s third quarter. Argyle produced 4,865,000 carats, constituting a 42% drop in comparison to last year`s third quarter.

Diavik produced 1,874,000 carats, constituting a 10% gain in comparison to last year, but third quarter production declined in comparison to the second quarter.
