Diamond right-hand rings and chocolate-colored pearls will be on many women`s holiday wish lists, according to a new survey by Jewelry.com.

Specifically, the survey discovered that 30 percent of women polled want a diamond right-hand ring and 28 percent want chocolate-colored pearls.

Other results showed that 40 percent of women polled prefer colorless diamonds, but black diamonds were a close runner-up, with 20 percent of those surveyed wanting the darker hue.

"Circle" necklaces are still in hot demand, with 42 percent of those surveyed wanting them. The same cannot be said for animal-themed jewelry, with only 12 percent showing interest.

Diamonds are still a girl`s best friend, however, 27 percent of women polled said they want sapphires and 10 percent said they want rubies.

Jewelry.com`s Editor in Chief Virginia Halevi said consumers are looking for some fashion-forward finds this holiday season.

"What was surprising was the number of respondents stating they`d like gems traditionally regarded as white–such as pearls and diamonds–in different colors, notably browns, yellows–even black," Halevi said in a media release.
