| RAPAPORT… Tiffany & Co. announced plans on January 28, 2008 to open a store in Madrid, Spain as part of the company`s continued expansion of retail
space. The 5,400 square foot store is slated to open in fall 2008, where it will occupy two floors in the prestigious No.10 Calle Jose Oretga y Gasset. Architects and designers will preserve the original façade of the famous building and create a stone rotunda that opens into a modern Macassar and walnut interior with brushed stainless steel accents. "We look forward to opening a Tiffany & Co. store in such a vibrant and dynamic city," said Tiffany & Co. Europe vice president and managing director Cesare Settepass. "Our prominent location in a landmark building in Madrid` s most desirable shopping area provides us with the ideal environment for introducing customers to Tiffany` s own heritage of product design and outstanding service for which it is known worldwide," he said. |
